Chobe National Park

The Chobe National Park in Northern Botswana is renowned as one of the best photographic reserves in Africa. Chobe covers almost 11 000 km² (4 250 square miles) and was Botswana’s first national park. It boasts some of the largest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, but is best known for its large herds of Kalahari elephants, said to be the largest elephant population in the world (approximately 120 000). These impressive herds can be witnessed from the relaxing vantage point of a boat, floating down the Chobe River, or on an interpretive game drive.
