What To Pack For Safari ?

 

A. WHAT TO PACK FOR SAFARI ?

 

The most practical items to pack for safari are:

- Khaki, green, beige and neutral colors (No black or navy blue as they attract flies)

- Shirts with long sleeves (even in summer, as protection from the sun and mosquitoes)

- T shirts

- Shorts or a light skirt

- Jeans or safari trousers for evenings and cooler days

- A jacket and sweater are recommended for early morning and lightweight water-proof jacket for evening game drives

- African Sun – could be strong during the day, please ensure your will bring sunblock, face moisturizer, lip balm, moisturizing facial masks (for ladies!)

- Personal toiletries such as tooth brush & tooth paste

- Swim and beachwear (if the camps you are staying have pools)

- Comfortable walking shoes

- Insect repellent (containing 34% DEET or more) 

- Binoculars and camera equipment  (recommended 400mm lens or better)  

 

B. PLASTIC BAG BAN (*Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda & Rwanda)

In 2017, Kenya & Tanzania joined over 40 countries that have bade plastic bags illegal, in a positive effort to reduct the impact on our environment. The ban applies to:

- Carrier bags with handles & with/without gussets
